ISAAC MIZRAHI RETURNS TO THE CAFÉ CARLYLE. The designer is having such “ridiculous fun” starring in Isaac Mizrahi: Movie Stars and Supermodels (30 years after first stepping on the stage at Joe’s Pub) that it’s no surprise he prefers performing over fashion. The new show is a mash-up of runway dish, Instagram obsessions and tunes by the likes of John Denver and Stephen Sondheim. “Cabaret is edgy and happens in the moment—that’s the thrill of it for me,” says Isaac. And a thrill for critics, who’ve given his past engagements raves. January 21 – February 8. 8:45PM. Buy tickets at ticketweb.com.

THE BASEBALL HALL OF FAME 2020 CLASS ANNOUNCED. Award shows could learn a lot about building excitement from MLB’s voting committee. With Larry Walker on the ballot for his 10th and final time (ten being the limit), Canadians are on the edge of their seats. Will Derek Jeter be a unanimous Hall of Famer on his first try? And then there’s the question of whether Shoeless Joe Jackson will join him? Though his ban from baseball in 1921 put him on the "ineligible list," the Hall is reconsidering those constraints. And they’ll soon be throwing the names of 10 individuals who played before 1950 into the ring.

Held at The Clark Sports Center in Cooperstown, the 2020 Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will be broadcast live on MLB Network and at www.baseballhall.org. Sunday, July 26th, 1:30PM
