THE PET SHOP BOYS HAVE RELEASED “HOTSPOT.” "West End Girls," "It's a Sin" and Go West" helped get Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe into “The Guinness Book of Records” as the most successful duo in UK music history. For fans of their ubiquitous, late 80s synth-pop sound they seem like old friends. And it’s nice to have them back with a new album. More at petshopboys.co.uk.

Watch the video for their new single, “Monkey Business.”

CHAMBER MAGIC® RETURNS TO NEW YORK’S PALACE. Performed in an elegant hotel salon and limited to 60 guests, this intimate evening of mind-reading, sleight of hand, and the astonishing Think-A-Drink trick had me amazed and recommending it to people months afterwards. Steve Cohen has been featured on CBS Sunday Morning, CNN, and Late Night with David Letterman and counts Warren Buffett and Stephen Sondheim among his many fans. Truly one of Manhattan’s best-kept secrets. 455 Madison Avenue. (Between 50th And 51st Street). Tickets at chambermagic.com.

IT’S SINGER-SONGWRITER WARREN ZEVON’S BIRTHDAY. Considered an artist's artist, Zevon (who died in 2003 at the age of 56) was relatively little known to the public (outside of his hit, “Werewolves of London”) but revered by musicians and authors alike. Springsteen envied his ability to write “something that had real meaning and was funny, too.” While friend Stephen King regrets that they “never got a chance to collaborate on a song or story”—leaving him to dedicate his novel, “Dr. Sleep” to Zevon.
